The Tricks for Treats Invitational in Oceanside this past weekend was a great success for Level 3, 4 and 5 teams from Olympica Gymnastics. Olympica’s Level 5 team placed second overall and earned 6 top spots on the podium. In the 9-10-year-old division, San Clemente’s Madeline Snedeker took first place on vault with a score of 9.40 and Kirra Schmitt took second with a 9.375. Teammates Audrey Jackson and Kylie Phillips, both from Laguna Niguel, tied for third place with a 9.325. Kylie also placed second on bars with a 9.325. In the 11-12-year-old division, Addison Malue (Mission Viejo) took first on bars with a score of 9.125.
The Level 4 team also enjoyed success! In the 6-8-year-old division, Mission Viejo’s Sasha PourTeimour won floor with a score of 9.350 and placed second on beam with a score of 9.150. Emmerson Gerhart, also from Mission Viejo, placed first on vault with a score of 8.775 and placed second on bars with an 8.850. Teagan Blandford of San Clemente placed first on bars with a 9.00 and second on vault with an 8.70. These three young ladies swept their division’s All Around, with Sasha and Emmerson tying for first with a score of 35.225, and Teagan taking third with a score of 35.150.
In the nine-year-old division, Adison Rusin (Laguna Niguel) took second place on vault with a score 9.00, and Reese Larson (Aliso Viejo) tied for third place on floor with a score of 9.350. Edie Whalen of Laguna Hills tied for first on vault with a score of 8.875 and placed second on floor with a score of 9.175 in the 10-year-old division.
Level 3 gymnasts, Emme Gilchrist (Ladera Ranch) took third place on vault with a score of 9.225 in the 7-year-old division and teammate, Mia Gwin (San Clemente), took second place with a score of 9.275 in the 8-year-old division. San Clemente’s Hannah Dos Santos took third on all events and also took third place All Around in the six-year-old division.
