“They left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy” (Matt. 28:8)
The miracle of Easter is sometimes hard to believe, but it’s worth a try.
Because, when we choose to believe in God’s power over death itself, we begin to believe that God can bring goodness to a world that often seems lost.
The women who ventured to Jesus’ tomb early Easter morning did not have much reason to feel hopeful.
But when angels mystically appeared to them, they found themselves starting to believe. Lifting their eyes, they soon discovered the Risen Lord.
When we find ourselves wondering if the obstacles in our lives or in our world might be insurmountable, even a glimmer of hope can truly come in handy! If we say, “Well, maybe God can do this,” we might lift our eyes just enough to see that God’s been with us all along.
Please join us for worship. Please join us with hope, so that our eyes may be opened to see the Risen Lord in our midst.
