San Diego County Credit Union members donate to help bring joy to pediatric patients
For the ninth consecutive year, children who are patients at Southern California pediatric hospitals will be the recipients of toys all throughout the year thanks to San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution. SDCCU’s customers and employees donated nearly $3,500 and more than 2,100 toys this year for the annual Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego and CHOC Children’s.
New, unwrapped toys were collected throughout November and early December 2018 at all of SDCCU’s 43 convenient branch locations in San Diego, Riverside and in Orange County to be delivered this month to Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego and CHOC Children’s. Donated items may be used throughout the year as gifts to individual patients in various age groups. In addition, donated items may be utilized in playrooms and support groups as in-room activities for patients and in conjunction with therapies. “SDCCU is committed to supporting Rady Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Orange County through the annual Holiday Toy Drive,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “We are incredibly grateful to our customers and employees for giving so generously and helping us make life at the hospital a little easier for pediatric patients.”
