Planting project at La Paws Park puts scout in line for Eagle

Date:

Eagle Scout La Paws Park Sept 2014Lance Meurs has what it takes to be an Eagle. The Boy Scout of Troop 728 organized about 40 volunteers and braved the heat last Saturday to plant 1,100 1-gallon plants along the slope at La Paws Park.

The project puts Lance in line to obtain the highest ranking in the boy scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America.

Lance’s project has helped to beautify the new dog park that sits on 6 acres at the eastern edge of the City along Felipe Road just south of Gilleran Park. The City is grateful for his efforts.
