Plastic Bottles and Aluminum Cans Community Recycling Drive this Saturday, October 19
Please bring your plastic bottles and aluminum cans to DHHS this Saturday, October 5, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and help raise funds for our school. Please spread the word to family, friends and neighbors! Location: DHHS back parking lot near the tennis courts and pool. Here are the upcoming fall Saturday dates: November 2 &16, December 14.
EARN SCHOOL HOURS! Students may work the Saturday community plastic bottles and aluminum cans recycling events. You must sign up in advance on the Saturday recycling sheet outside Mrs. Coghill’s classroom, Room 606. You may only work a maximum of 5 hours recycling per semester. Saturday dates include:

SAT Prep Boot Camp at Dana Hills High!
Start Preparing Now for the December or January SAT!
One-day program November 16 to prep for the December or January SAT. DB Academics will host an SAT boot camp as a PTSA fundraiser designed to provide students with the best test-taking strategies, techniques and problem solving approaches. Students will become more confident test-takers and will learn:
–test layout and scoring
–most frequently tested concepts
–how to analyze answer choices to effectively eliminate incorrect answers
–when to guess
–how to identify and approach tricky questions
–how to avoid common mistakes that students make
On the math side, students will work on problems that are appropriate for their skill level.

Are you taking the November or January SAT or the December ACT? Kaplan Test Prep will be offering a combo SAT and ACT practice test on Saturday, November 23, 9:00 – 1:15 (please arrive by 8:45). Cost is a $20.00 donation benefiting the DHHS PTSA. Location: DHHS 900 Portables. Following the test, a Score Giveback/SAT vs ACT Test Workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 4, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Porthole Theater.
