Members of Aliso Viejo Police Services and City staff kicked off the first day of school today with a “bus greeting” event at the Igelsia Park Community Center.

Deputies Carlos Barcelos and Greg Surrell, Sgt. Ray Ulmer, Crime Prevention Specialist Julia Smith and city staffers Gracie Duran and Sandra Leone were on hand at 7 a.m. to greet parents and wish kids good luck during the school year.  Folks enjoyed free coffee, donuts and juice and chatting with city and Aliso Viejo Police Services staff.

The event was designed to educate the neighborhood and enhance the relationship between law enforcement and residents.
