The City of Mission Viejo is offering residents a way to save energy and money through a Home Energy Efficiency Workshop on July 9.
The workshop, hosted by the City and Energy Upgrade California, is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
Guests will learn about their home energy use and rebates and will be able to “ask a contractor” questions about home improvement projects and other plans. The workshop will also give residents the chance to sign up for the CoolCalifornia City Challenge. Mission Viejo is one of 10 California cities competing for $100,000 in prizes in the challenge, which is designed to engage residents to reduce energy consumption and build healthier, more vibrant and sustainable communities.
A light dinner and refreshments will be served during the free workshop.
Reservations are available by emailing dmatson@cityofmissionviejo.org
