Registration available for Snow Fest 2010 starting Nov. 6

Registration is available for Aliso Viejo residents starting Saturday, Nov. 6 for a fun-filled holiday event that will transform a pristine park into a winter wonderland complete with snow.

The city’s Snow Fest takes place on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Grand Park, 26703 Aliso Creek Road. The holiday event will take place in three sessions – from 10:05 a.m. to 11:05 a.m.; 11:25 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.; and 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Visitors will enjoy the Grand Mountain (long run), Bunny Hill (short run) and Snow Man Park for youngsters 5 and under. Along with tons of snow, the event will feature refreshments and music. Renaissance ClubSport will provide cocoa and cookies and the Aliso Viejo Public Library will provide a craft.

The entrance fee is $5 per person. Participants are encouraged to bring mittens and dress for snow. The city will supply sleds and saucers. No pets or outside sleds/saucers or snow equipment allowed.

Pre-event registration is required for all snow areas, as no tickets will be sold at the event. Aliso Viejo residents will have priority registration on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to noon and on Monday, Nov. 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Open registration for residents and non-residents will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., if space is available. Registration takes place at City Hall, 12 Journey, Suite 100.
