Day excursion to Lawrence Welk Resort
If you are interested in taking a fun-filled excursion, register for a trip to the Lawrence Welk Resort on Sunday, April 13.

Lawrence Welk was a musician, accordionist, bandleader and television impresario who hosted “The Lawrence Welk Show” from 1955 to 1982. His namesake resort is tucked away in a secluded valley just north of San Diego.  The trip, which takes off from the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, includes lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory and time spent at the museum before the performance of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.”

Challenge of Caregiving
Making the Moments Count is a “how-to” presentation video for caregivers of loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s to lighten the load, hearts and spirits of family and friends. The free program is at 3:30 p.m. on the second Thursday the month.

Hearing Enhancement & Life Enrichment

Many people give the impression they understand what is being said, when they don’t. Presented at 10:30 a.m. by Dr. Ron Reiter, PhD and audiologist, the series will provide tools and skills necessary to get folks to speak so you can understand them better.

St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon
Sport some green and celebrate with friends on the day when everyone is Irish! Space is limited at this fun lunch that kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 17.
There is a $4.50 suggested donation for seniors. Cost for others is $6.

Colon Health
A healthy colon can lead to improved overall health and wellness. Dr. Alessio Pigazzi will discuss what makes a colon healthy; signs and symptoms of an unhealthy colon; colon cancer; and how advanced surgical techniques help with colon cancer recovery. Hand Arthritis & Carpal Tunnel

Learn to Sew Adults
Learn sewing basics, fabric selection, and how to follow a pattern while completing amazing projects in class. No prior experience is necessary. All fabric, notions and sewing machines are provided. The class caters to age 15 and older and takes place on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. April 30 through May 14. Cost is $115 plus a $30 lab fee payable to the instructor. How to Hem Your Clothes
Learn the basic sewing skills needed to hem your own garments in this class that takes place on Wednesday March 12-26 at 7 p.m.  Sewing machines are provided. The program caters to ages 16 and older. IPhone Photography
This hands-on class will show you everything you need to know to maximize your photos and videos. Learn when to use flash, HDR and more. Succulent Wreath
This class at 3:30 p.m. on March 23 will provide hands-on learning to create and care for your own long-lasting living wreath. Wreaths provided are 11” galvanized metal frame, filled with moss. Chair Yoga
In Chair Yoga, students will receive the health and fitness benefits of yoga by improving their flexibility and strength and creating a calm mind and peaceful spirit. The program takes place in two sessions with the first one taking place March 18 through April 15, with the second session following April 22 through May 20.
