Dana Point, Calif. – The public is invited to attend the VIP Kick-Off Party Nov. 17 for the Dana Point Turkey Trot presented by Golden State Foods.
The VIP Kick-Off Party is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean Institute, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.
The party, which is hosted by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, race organizers of the Dana Point Turkey Trot, gives the community an opportunity to mingle and celebrate the pending race. It also gives organizers a chance to thank sponsors such as Golden State Foods and the City of Dana Point for supporting the time-honored trot, which benefits such a worthy cause.
Over the past 7 years, the Dana Point Turkey Trot 5K and 10K run/walk has raised more $250,000 for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The food bank, which works to eliminate hunger in Orange County, provides more than 1 million pounds of food each month for more than 220,000 people in need.
Cost for the Nov. 17 Kick-Off Party is $20 for Chamber members; $30 general admission. A subscription to Orange Coast Magazine is complimentary with each paid admission thanks to Orange Coast Magazine.
