Singer/Songwriter Bobby Caldwell to Perform on Breakfast with Gary & Kelly Broadcast
(Mission Viejo, CA) – Saddleback College radio station KSBR 88.5FM and the City of Mission Viejo are proud to announce the next “Breakfast with Gary and Kelly” radio for TV broadcast will take place on September 17, 2011 with very special guest Bobby Caldwell. The Saturday morning radio show will broadcast LIVE starting at 9:00am from the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way in Mission Viejo. A studio audience will be welcomed in for the 10:00 am to 12pm; doors will open at 9:00am with the final hour being videotaped for later broadcast on the city’s MVTV Channel 30. The audience will be admitted for free but seating is limited. Reservations can be made online at www.ksbr.org
The program will also take place during the station’s Fall Membership Drive. To help raise operating funds, the station will be holding their annual “Garage Sale” and will be conducting a Pancake Breakfast at the Norman P. Murray Center, also from 9:00 am to Noon. All are welcome to attend but reservations are encouraged for those wishing to be in the audience for the television taping.
Drawing from his vast repertoire of rousing R&B, intimate smooth jazz styling’s, and big band songs, Bobby Caldwell has the ability to entertain at any venue, for fans of all ages. Bobby’s timeless classic, “What You Won’t Do For Love” has been recorded and sampled by more than 100 artists. Bobby’s songs and albums have been released in the USA, Japan and throughout the globe, and have been enjoyed by millions of fans. All combined, Bobby’s songs and samples have contributed to over 40 million in sales.
Past guests on “Breakfast with Gary & Kelly” have included Debbie Reynolds, Peter White, Diane Schuur, Paul Brown, Warren Hill and Bill Cantos. Gary and Kelly have conducted numerous remote broadcasts from locations all over Southern California, including the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach and Catalina Island and has hosted many celebrity guests.

Live-cast Features Singer-Songwriters and Son of Celebrated Entertainer
Mission Viejo, CA – The public is invited to attend the Blake Aaron Radio for TV Broadcast on Thursday, September 15, 2011 featuring two renowned singer-songwriters and the son of a legendary entertainer.
Saddleback College radio station KSBR 88.5FM and the City of Mission Viejo are hosting the Thursday afternoon radio show that will broadcast live from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. from the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way. The final hour will be videotaped for later broadcast on the City’s MVTV Channel 30. The audience will be admitted for free, but seating is limited. The show will feature Jim Peterik, Lisa McClowry and James Tormé. Peterik is a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and guitar/keyboardist. As the founding member of both Survivor and The Ides Of March, he has been responsible for 18 Top 10 hits, three of which, “Vehicle,” “The Search Is Over,” and the Grammy¨ winning “Eye Of the Tiger” (theme from Rocky III), made it to No. 1. Peterik is also responsible for many of the hits of .38 Special, such as “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You,” and “Rockin’ Into the Night.”
With a four-octave range and soulful R&B, pop and jazz overtones, McClowry is an authentic American singer-songwriter fast gaining recognition in the music world. Embraced by smooth-jazz radio as well as other traditional and Internet radio formats, she recently picked up an International Vocalist of the Year nomination and was selected to present an award at the American Smooth Jazz Awards in Chicago.
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree for Tormé, son of legendary entertainer Mel Tormé and British actress Janette Scott. Born into a family blessed with talent and an immense passion for all genres of music, all it took was one album to jump-start his future in music — Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall” — which would later bring Tormé to his own stage. His debut album, “Love for Sale,” was released last month. In it, Tormé pays tribute to the “King of Pop” with his first single from the album – a cover of Michael Jackson’s 1979 hit, “Rock with You.”
