The Saddleback College Speech and Debate Team competed at the Watson-Lancer Forensics Tournament at Pasadena City College on October 27-28, 2012. Co-Team Director Larry Radden stated, “I am thrilled about the progress, commitment and results of the Saddleback College Forensics team competitors at the Lancer-Watson tournament! We only took a third of our team (seven students) and they came back with very impressive results. Our individual events rocked the tournament.
With regard to the tournament, I would like to highlight three specific areas: 1. The entire final round of Dramatic Interpretation consisted of three Saddleback students and one Concordia University student; 2. Dennis Meader took 3rd place in both Dramatic Interpretation and Duo Interpretation at his second tournament ever, and 3. Olivia Noceda advanced to finals in all three events that she entered. This is truly a dream team!” Team Leader Lucas Ochoa stated, “I’m very happy with the student effort and enthusiasm. The team is generating some momentum and we look forward to the coming months. I can’t wait to see how the next wave of speech events fare as we gear up for State and Nationals. “
