Saddleback Valley Unified School District Closure Update

Date:

Update #9 March 13, 2020 (3:45 pm) : In light of the recent National Emergency declaration by President Trump, along with the input of several county and district officials, the SVUSD Board of Education, in an emergency session decided that all Saddleback Valley Unified schools will be closed beginning Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 27th, with the possibility of closing for a third week as the situation warrants.

At this time, Spring Break will remain during the week of April 6. This decision has not been made lightly, as we are aware of the far-reaching impact school closures will have on our families, staff, and community. There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus among SVUSD students or staff and the closure is a proactive measure that is being taken to help prevent the spread of the virus and to protect public health.

Thank you for your partnership and support as we ensure the continued safety of our students and staff. Dr. Turner’s letter available at http://conta.cc/38QwmVs
