
STAY AND PLAY AT SEAWORLD
DURING SUMMER NIGHTS

After the sun has set, the marine-life park is illuminated as SeaWorld’s family of killer whales star in their own rock ’n’ roll concert featuring hot lights and cool tunes. Laughter can be heard as silly sea lions and mischievous otters wreak havoc on stage.
Then, as the evening comes to a crescendo, SeaWorld’s Into the Blue fireworks light up the night’s sky along with orchestral music from SeaWorld show, Blue Horizons.

The marine-life park’s summertime extravaganza kicked into high gear this past Saturday (May 25) and continues on the following dates: June 1–2; June 8–9; June 15–Aug. 18; Aug. 23–25; and Aug. 31–

With so much to see and do at SeaWorld this summer, including SeaWorld’s new double-launch, multi-media roller coaster called Manta, there’s never been a better time to visit. To make Summer Nights even more fun and affordable, guests can purchase a SeaWorld 1-Year Membership, which allows repeat admission for an entire year, plus free parking and discounts on food and merchandise. The SeaWorld 1-Year Membership cost is $145 for all ages.

New in 2013
· MMadagascar Live! Operation: Vacation: Beginning June 15 guests can sing, clap and dance along to the ultimate interactive show — Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation, an original live musical show featuring the characters from DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.’s beloved “Madagascar” franchise. SeaWorld San Diego will be one of only two theme parks in the United States where fans can see this incredibly funny and engaging new show at the park’s renovated Mission Bay Theater. The 20-minute musical show follows the antics of Alex the Lion, Gloria the Hippo, King Julien, Mort and the Penguins during a vacation adventure. The production will feature rock/pop music performed by a live band and include classic and original songs. Guests will even get the chance to be part of the party! The stage production will run year-round and will feature up to eight shows per day. The characters also will conduct meet and greets with park guests.
- Shamu’s Rise & Shine Celebration: Young children can come dance with SeaWorld characters daily at 9:30 and 11 a.m. (when SeaWorld opens at 9 a.m.) or 10:30 a.m. and noon (when SeaWorld opens at 10 a.m.) from June 15 to Sept. 2. This 30-minute celebration will include five SeaWorld costume characters, an interactive DJ and host that will lead the kids in activities and dances.
Back this year!
· Club Atlantis Presented by Coca-Cola: As part of Summer Nights, kids of all ages can dance the night away at SeaWorld’s Club Atlantis Presented by Coca-Cola, nightly June 15 to Aug. 11. Channel 933’s DJ Marc Thrasher keeps the party going from 7 to 10 p.m. with dance team performances, nightly Coca-Cola dance-offs, giveaways and plenty of time to just dance, dance, dance!
- Cirque de la Mer: Returning for its 13th summer, this acrobatic odyssey is performed on land, water and in the air at SeaWorld’s bayside venue, Cirque Stadium. The popular summer daytime show features acrobats, hand balancers, aerialists, trapeze artists and comic performers. Returning this year is a 40×10 trampoline wall where the performers can show off their acrobatic skills and even dive 19 feet into Mission Bay!
Summer Nights Favorites
- Shamu Rocks: The world-famous killer whale takes center stage during Summer Nights in this 20-minute musical journey that transports Shamu® around the globe, through awesome natural settings. Shamu’s visual experience is enhanced by images on four LED screens that move and rotate, dazzling the audience with a rockin’ show.
- Sea Lions Tonite: Summer Nights guests won’t want to miss Sea Lions Tonite, a hilarious adventure featuring famous California sea lions Clyde and Seamore. The prankster-loving pinnipeds poke fun at the stars of classic daytime SeaWorld shows, including Blue Horizons, One Ocean, Pets Rule! and Cirque de la Mer.
- Fireworks: During Summer Nights at SeaWorld, guests may enjoy the park’s fireworks display, Into the Blue, which caps off an evening full of amazing nighttime animal shows (display time varies according to park hours; for park hours and show schedules, visit www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com). SeaWorld will celebrate the Fourth of July with our Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular, an extended display set to patriotic music, at 9:30 p.m. July 4, 2013. And, the park’s 320-foot Skytower Flag of Lights is decked out in red, white and blue lights, dusk to midnight through Sept. 2.
- Attractions, Rides and More: In addition to the special summer shows and activities, nearly all of SeaWorld’s other attractions remain open every evening during Summer Nights, including the all-new Manta, Turtle Reef, Journey to Atlantis, Wild Arctic, the Penguin Encounter and Shipwreck Rapids.
Summer Daytime Fun
· Daytime animal shows: All of SeaWorld’s favorite year-round shows can be seen during the summer, including the all-new awe-inspiring Blue Horizons show; the hilarious Sea Lions LIVE sketch-based comedy show; One Ocean, the magnificent killer whale show; and the always-adorable Pets Rule!
Tips for making the most of your Summer Nights at SeaWorld
· Log on to the park’s website (www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com) and purchase tickets, skipping the ticket line at the park. Learn about other discounts, show schedules and more online or by calling (800) 257-4268.
· During projected days of peak attendance, SeaWorld allows guests to enter the front of the park 45 minutes prior to full-park opening. Early birds can use this time to pick up a park map and check the show schedule, grab a light breakfast and plan their day.
· Arrive at animal shows at least 30 to 45 minutes before the scheduled show time to secure a good seat and enjoy interactive, crowd-pleasing, pre-show activities.
· Visit SeaWorld attractions while animal shows in the area are occurring: while thousands of guests are watching the Blue Horizons show, visit the Shark Encounter located just north of Dolphin Stadium.
