February 14, 2009: Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Ocean Institute
Dana Point, The Ocean Institute is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a “Sea of Love” program on Saturday, February 14, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Visitors can enjoy expanded exhibits, and find out the answers to such questions as: Are there ocean animals that have a single partner for life? What does a whale’s love song sound like?
Visitors can also make their sweethearts ocean-themed valentines and enjoy sweet treats. The program is free with paid admission to the Institute ($4.50-$6.50), and free to members. For additional information about the Institute, visit www.ocean-institute.org or call (949) 496-2274.
Founded in 1977, the Ocean Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean preservation through education, setting the standard for educational excellence and serving as a leading resource for universities, museums, teachers and all others seeking to increase their knowledge of the ocean.
