Join us before Beautiful – The Carole King Musical on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza for a free
outdoor performance by soulful singer Maria Schafer. After spending two years traveling the world with The
Glenn Miller Orchestra, young and captivating singer Maria Schafer has quickly resumed her place in the LA
music scene as an ever-growing and fascinating artist to watch. With carefully crafted originals and modern
arrangements of jazz and world music, listeners are welcomed with intimate and moving performances
peppered with palpable musical chemistry. Her quartet’s energetic charm of dreamy guitar, driving drums, and
dancing bass create a warm sonic bed for entrancingly smooth vocals and weighted lyrical delivery.

Live on Argyros Stage: Sophia Dion

5:15 – 6:15 p.m.
Enjoy more soulful, Southern California sounds before Beautiful – The Carole King Musical on the Julianne
and George Argyros Plaza with a free outdoor performance by singer-songwriter Sophia Dion. From the
Sundance Film Festival to the KAABOO Discovery Tour, Dion thrills audiences with mellow lyrics and soulful
guitar riffs. Drawing inspiration from musicians Joss Stone and KT Tunstall, Dion recently garnered an
