Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced its internationally and culturally rich 2017 – 2018 Dance Series. The legendary Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra return to the Center performing a program of classic works by Michel Fokine as only a great Russian company can. American Ballet Theatre will be back with its annual holiday treat, Alexei Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns as well, with programs that include many works drawn from the company’s expansive repertory, including its masterpiece, Revelations. Argentina’s fiercely passionate Tango Buenos Aires brings Spirit of Argentina, a new production for Center audiences. And for the first time at Segerstrom Center, debuts by Dublin Irish Dance and Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan.
