SEGERSTROM CENTER FOR THE ARTS PRESENTS  BRILLIANCE: A NIGHT OF MUSIC AND LIGHT

LET THERE BE LIGHT! on Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ Julianne and George Argyros Plaza, when Brilliance: A Night of Music andLight returns and transforms the plaza into a sensory feast of light, color and music from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Bring family and friends and don your favorite light-up and glow-in-the-dark fashion attire for an evening of music, dance, and illumination!

When the sun goes down, the party lights up with a spectacle of illumination and color. Enjoy the plaza’s disco and dance to the sounds of The Silent DJs at a Silent Disco. Guests will wear light-up headsets, which can be tuned to one of three channels of music offered by the three Silent DJs. While you take a break from dancing, step into the light painting photo booth and enjoy the breathtaking view of the plaza’s color-changing fountain.

Then, in partnership with UC Irvine’s new Emergent Media + Design program, discover and explore interactive art and technology projects.  Works to be showcased include “In This Light | There is Sil nce,” an interactive piece using projections by Jesús Vargas and “Duet Between Machine and Human,” created by Omar Hamido, which offers insights into philosophical questions through the art medium. Refuel at George’s Café, open for snacking and beverages, including “Glow Bar” specialty drinks! And don’t forget to check out the “Glow Cart,” offering illuminating clothing and accessories to brighten your attire.
