DECEMBER 2014
SHOP WITH A COP: As part of this year’s Shop with a Cop, sponsored by San Diego law enforcement agencies, SeaWorld®San Diego, STAR/PAL and Target, more than 300 economically disadvantaged children enjoyed breakfast and a private show at SeaWorld before embarking on a $150 holiday shopping spree at Target on Saturday, Dec. 6.
After enjoying breakfast and The Pets Rule Christmas show that featured animals adopted from shelters, the children rode with their assigned officers in patrol cars, with lights flashing and sirens blaring, from the marine park’s parking lot to Target where they shopped for holiday gifts for themselves and family members.
In its 21st year, Shop with a Cop provided not only holiday gifts for less fortunate families, but also a positive interaction with local law enforcement officers. SeaWorld San Diego has proudly participated in Shop with a Cop for 17 years.
