INTERIOR DESIGN OF THE SOUL
A natural beauty, Margaret was sought after as a model, both on the ramp and in print. After a few years of modeling, she stayed in the fashion world as owner of an interior design firm called “ATouch of Class” from 1975 to 1982, specializing in restoring 100+ year old homes in La Mesa, CA.
But although she loved fashion, the world of the spirit beckoned her. She likes to say that she now works
on “interior” design of the soul!
First she devoted herself to her religious duties as a nun of The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet. Then after a few years, she began reading widely of all world religions and found she’d prefer to live a life more strongly embracing all religions. So she studied the Unity faith, which started as a global educational movement to teach people of all religions, how to apply Jesus’ teachings.
In 1984, Margaret became a Unity minister. She loved the way Unity’s teaching embraces all people, – of every race, color, age, religion, sexual orientation, social and economic background, and people with disabilities. Paralleling Unity’s teaching, Margaret had always seen every person as a child of God with divine potential.
Over the years, she’s served the same Unity ministry in southern California and has seen it through several changes. But the one constant has always been her deep love and caring, for all whom she meets.
“Reverend Margaret” has had the privilege of walking though unspeakable sorrow and sharing immense joy with congregants over many years. She has officiated at weddings for members she christened when they were infants, and stood beside them to say farewell to parents.
