South Coast Roller Derby’s “Lagunatics” to Bout Santa Maria Ruff Rollerz
Contest to Take Place July 17th at 6:30 in San Juan Capistrano
– South Coast Roller Derby (SCRD), South Orange County’s premiere roller derby league, announced today details for the upcoming bout with Santa Maria Ruff Rollerz, to be hosted by SCRD in their third home game on July 17th in San Juan Capistrano, doors open at 6:30.
Parking is free and concessions and a vendor village will be available for all your fishnet, branded skate gear, or flavored cookie needs. Pre-sale tickets are available via Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com) or through anyone of your favorite derby girls.

SCRD is proud to announce half time entertainment provided by Megan Tran, who will be performing a pyro-hoop dance.
SCRD is celebrating their one year anniversary and invites fans to come and cheer them on and join them for the after party to celebrate their one year. Details for the after party will be given at the bout.
Roller derby is an all-female sport, and currently an all volunteer organization, dedicated to serving the community and empowering women of all walks of life. Roller Derby provides sporting entertainment for fans and supports charitable causes that impact the lives of women and children. To that end, SCRD will be participating in Race For The Cure on Sunday, September 26 in Orange County.
“We really stress the importance of community and giving back,” said Darcy Smash, Team Captain for SCRD. “Our goal is to raise $2000 for Race for the Cure. We hope we can motivate our fans to help us reach this goal. Any donation helps and we all know this is for a very good cause!”
