South Orange County Businesses Tee it up for Seniors, Students, page 2
WHY: True golfers never need an excuse to take an afternoon off to hit the links. But the 1st Annual “South County Golf Challenge” will provide South Orange County golfers with a rare opportunity to tee it up at one of the true golf jewels of Southern California, Marbella Country Club. This 18-hole Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf-designed course is tough yet playable for all skill levels. The rolling fairways and dramatic elevation changes will challenge every golfer’s shot-making skills, while well-placed bunkers and lakes are ready to claim errant shots. Hole-in-one contests and raffle prizes such as great tickets to Angels baseball and golf foursomes make this tournament one not to miss.
This tournament will also help support Age Well Senior Services, a non-profit organization providing critical services and programs such as meals on wheels, transportation and health care services to low income South Orange County seniors since 1975. Net proceeds will also help fund scholarships to deserving south Orange County college students seeking careers in business.
