Teens Will Learn To Develop Grit in Special Workshop
It’s not easy being a teenager, so we’ve developed a new series designed to help teens develop grit and overcome challenges with confidence.

On Monday, October 21, teens will learn about the G.R.I.T. method and how cultivating grit influences the development of self-confidence, determination and courage. The program is from 4-5:15 pm at City Hall.

| Spooktacular Fun For Kids & Parents Oct. 25
With Halloween just around the corner, our Recreation staff is gearing up for a Spooktacular time with Friday Night Fright Spookshop from 5-8 pm on October 25.
Kids ages 5-11 will enjoy a ghoulish time while parents savor a night out. The fun includes painting pumpkins, decorating pillowcases for collecting candy on Halloween, watching the movie “Hotel Transylvania” and eating pizza. Cost is $35.

| Volunteer for Health Fair & All Is Bright
If you’re looking for a fun way to give back, consider volunteering at our Health Fair & Flu Shot Clinic on November 2 or All is Bright Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting event on December 5.
Featuring free health screenings, flu shots and more than 30 health and wellness vendors, the Health Fair is from 9 am to noon at the Aliso Viejo Library. Volunteers 18 and older are needed to help with an array of duties.
During our All is Bright magical celebration from 5-8 pm at Aliso Viejo Town Center, volunteers age 16 and older will enjoy rubbing elbows with fellow elves and jolly St. Nick while helping in a variety of roles listed here.
