Wolverine Wrestling- Girls’ Team Information
Attention all female Wolverines.
We are excited to offer a new sport on campus for ladies- the first Wolverine Wrestling female team. Following the success of our female wrestler this year, we have decided to expand the wrestling team to create a new Girls’ team to compete in the newly organized Girl’s CIF Wrestling Championship.
This is NOT a coed wrestling team- we are interested in creating a separate girls’ team that will compete in the WINTER season in their own female competitions and the girl’s CIF championship (which has its own qualifiers and state championships).
We need ladies of all sizes, from 100 lbs to 240 lbs to fill the team- this is a perfect sport for those who may not feel able to compete in traditional sports. The sport is relatively new for the ladies and we are excited to be the first school in South OC to field a team.
We are having an informational meeting at lunch on March 4 to see what the interest level of students at the school is and to set up the practices in room 404. Our current female wrestler will be there to answer questions as well. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Colwell at gacolwell@capousd.org and hope to see you on March 4th in room 404 at Lunch!
