What is Taste of Capo?: Taste of Capo is an event where approximately 20 local restaurants provide samples of their best recipes for you to taste.
How much does it cost? Will-Call tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Each ticket will allow you to try each restaurant’s sample one (1) time.
When is the event? Thursday, October 21, 2010 6:30 to 8:30
Where will it be held? The event will be held in the CVHS Mall.
How do I purchase a ticket? Tickets may be purchased at the CVHS front office, in the CVHS Capo Corner Store during lunch, at the CVHS Back to School Night (9/30/10) or by emailing the foundation. Be sure to include your name, phone number and email address. You may also purchase tickets at the door for $20 each.
Will there be anything else to do? There will be music, an opportunity to win great prizes, and local merchandise vendors will be selling their goods.
What restaurants will be there? Boosters Sports Grill, Cosmos Italian Kitchen, Donna B’s, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Hanna’s Restaurant • Bar, House of EJ’s Chicken and Ribs, Jersey Mike’s, La Rana Authentic Mexican Food, Paradise Bakery and Cafe, Piccolino Ristorante, Southern California Pizza, Tortilla Flats, Yama Sushi & Grill, Berkeley Dog….additional restaurants will be added weekly.

Can I be a restaurant participant? Yes. If you are interested in being a participating restaurant please contact the Foundation at CapoFoundation@gmail.com
Can I be a merchandise vendor? Yes, the Foundation will accept table sponsorships from 20 merchandise vendors. The cost to sponsor a table is $100. We will only accept sponsorship from one of each type of merchandise vendor (i.e. one Cookie Lee, one Pampered Chef etc.) Sponsorships will be accepted on a first reserved and paid basis. **See important note below.
Who are the participating merchandise vendors? Scentsy (wick less candle warmers and scents), Honey by Janene (African inspired clothing and jewelry), Tina Maries (Tustin based clothing and jewelry store), Samba Pink Designs (wine bottle aprons and vintage styled pillows), Beth Kukuk Handcrafted Jewelry, Cookie Lee (fine fashion jewelry), Paige Pea Photography, Flutter Frog (photo memory books), Empower Me Photo, Blingtastic ( rhinestone “Bling” t-shirts) and NYR Organic (skincare and make-up)….additional vendors being added weekly. A special thank you to Top Hat Balloons for providing the evenings festive balloon decorations!
Do you need volunteers? Yes. Please contact the Foundation at CapoFoundation@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering the night of the event. Volunteers will only be required to work from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM or 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM. All volunteers will need to purchase a Taste of Capo ticket. Volunteers will earn community service hours, be provided reserved parking and will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

REFLECTIONS ARTS CONTEST
The 2010 PTA Reflections program has begun. The theme is “Together We Can”. Entries are due October 11, 2010.
The categories are: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Film Production, Dance Choreography and Musical Composition. The winner from each category will represent our school at the PTA council level. A prize will be awarded to the top winner in each category.
Official forms and rules are available in the CVHS library or online at www.capta.org. The entry drop off deadline to the CVHS library is Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:45 pm. If you have any questions email the PTSA Reflections chair at capoptsaboard@cox.net.
In an effort to reduce the volume of listserv e-mails parents receive, we will do our best to limit listserves to two per week (usually Tues. and Thurs.), which will contain a compilation of information from the Principal, and one per week from the Guidance Office.
