Roughly two dozen lifeguard positions – both morning and afternoon shifts – are available along with two cashier positions for the season that will run through Sept. 29. The Aquatic Center is a resort-style complex overlooking the golf course at 29 Santa Barbara. The center features a swim team, swim lessons, lap and recreational swim, private pool parties and numerous activities and events throughout the season. The center boasts a junior Olympic 5-lane lap pool, recreational pool, children’s wading pool, toddler splash pad, adult whirl pool, Oasis Cafe, locker facilities, restrooms, and a patio with an outdoor patio fireplace.
A special Opening Day Pool Party with a $3 reduced entry fee will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 4.
Lifeguard candidates must be at least 18 years of age and should be certified and experienced. The salary range for lifeguards is $9 to $11 per hour.
