As your child sells items, complete and return the coupons to collect adorable monkey key chains. Coupon redemption days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday until September 27. Thank you for helping us reach our goals of providing science lab, Art Masters and other fantastic programs! If we sell $25,000, the students will be treated to an amazing magic show. Good luck!

ADVENTURE GUIDES: Back to school means the beginning of the season for the Adventure Guides program put on through the Laguna Niguel YMCA. This is a parent/child program for boys and girls in Kindergarten-6th grade. Adventure Guides differs from the various scout programs in that it is focused on the 1-on-1 parent/child relationship, encouraging a commitment to spend time together away from the distractions of work and home. This enables both to experience fun and new adventures while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Many parents may remember participating in this program when they were kids as Indian Guides or Indian Princesses. The program format includes monthly small group gatherings with your home “circle.” There are also larger group events and activities which include day events such as hikes, bowling, sporting events, community service projects, and dances as well as overnight campouts and trips to Catalina. If this sounds interesting, take advantage of an opportunity to build a strong bond with your child in a setting that’s all about fun. Signups are going on now. Program information is available from Colleen D’Aluisio, Adventure Guides Director at the Laguna Niguel Family YMCA. Colleen can be reached at 949-249-6216 or cdaluisio@ymcaoc.org.
