City Announces Vacancies on Youth Committee
The City of Laguna Niguel is accepting applications from interested high school students residing in Laguna Niguel for membership on the Youth Committee. There are seven positions available.
Those interested in serving on the Committee may download an application form by clicking on the link below. Applications are also available at Laguna Niguel City Hall at 30111 Crown Valley Parkway, Crown Valley Community Park at 29751 Crown Valley Parkway, Aliso Niguel High School, Dana Hills High School, Junipero Serra High School and Saint Margaret‘s Episcopal School.
All applications must be received at City Hall no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013.
Interviews will be scheduled at a Special City Council Meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, starting at 4:00 p.m. All applicants must be available on that date. Appointments will be effective September 1, 2013.

Mayor Robert Ming Delivers Annual State of the City Address
Before an audience of local elected officials and business leaders, Mayor Robert Ming delivered the annual State of the City Address at a recent luncheon hosted by the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce.
“Laguna Niguel is doing great” Ming said as he highlighted some of the City’s achievements over the past year and outlined his goals and objectives for 2013. Ming discussed plans for the Orange County Courthouse site located next to City Hall. He announced that Guardian Stewardship recently approached City leaders with a proposal to transform the old county courthouse building into a world-class art repository and teaching museum. The proposed project is conceptual at this point and a lot more work is needed before it moves forward.
Ming went on to report on a number of private development projects coming to town including the new Life Time Fitness Center, Career Lofts Luxury Apartment Complex and Crown Apartments.
