Visit the Wells Fargo Bank in Laguna Beach now through November 18th and enjoy a variety of artwork by many of this summer’s Festival of Arts exhibitors. The show treats viewers to the same high standards of artistic integrity that the Festival of Arts does each summer. Come and meet these artists during a special reception at Wells Fargo Bank on Saturday, October 1st from 11 am – 2 pm, free and open to the public. The Festival of Arts Gallery is located on the third floor of Wells Fargo Bank.

The Festival of Arts – California’s Premier Fine Art Show is a prestigious, highly competitive, regional juried fine art show featuring original artwork by southern Orange County’s finest artists. 2012 will mark the 80th Anniversary of the Festival of Arts. Each season a group of professionals who are involved in the art industry evaluate the original artwork of the artists featured in the annual summer exhibit.

Featured artists in this exhibit include Noriho Uriu  (printmaking), Mark Hendrickson (ceramics), Dennis Zervas (gouache), the collaborative team of Stephanie Cunningham and Betty Haight (mixed media), Vinita Voogd (printmaking), Bradford Salamon (oils), Carol Martens (ceramics), Russell Jacques (acrylics/sculpture), Elizabeth Wallace (pastels), Elizabeth McGhee (oils), Mariko Ishii (printmaking), Carolyn Machado (mixed media), Walter Reiss (ceramics), Elaine Twiss (mixed media), Robert Hansen (photography), Gerald Schwartz (oils), Jeff Horn (oils), Julie Sample (photography), and Dennis Dunton (photography). The artwork of this diverse group of artists illustrates the wide range of styles, media, and subject matter showcased during the 2011 art show.

“It’s a pleasure to the senses when viewing this exciting group of artists whose personal expressions exemplify the quality that is synonymous with the Festival of Arts,” said Curator and Collection Specialist Pat Sparkuhl.

The 2012 Festival of Arts will run in July and August. For more information on applying to the 2012 Festival of Arts show, please call (949) 464-4234 or go online at LagunaFestivalofArts.org.  This free exhibit is part of an ongoing series of shows that the Festival of Arts is having at Wells Fargo this year.  The Wells Fargo building is at 260 Ocean Avenue, Laguna Beach and is open to the public Monday through Friday 9 a.m. — 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. — 2 p.m.  The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization whose proceeds go to support the arts in and about Laguna Beach.
