Elks Exhibit at Mission Viejo Business and Restaurants Showcase
On Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 3 to 7 PM, Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge No. 2444 (“Elks Lodge”) hosted a booth at the Mission Viejo Business and Restaurants Showcase (“Showcase”). Over seventy-five (75) local businesses and restaurants exhibited their goods and services which included free food and other free promotional items. The Showcase was held at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. The Elks Lodge distributed literature representing the numerous charitable services and programs it provides to Mission Viejo and surrounding Saddleback Valley communities. Literature distributed included: Drug Awareness, Americanism, Youth Services (scholarships, sports, scouting), Military Veterans Services, Special Kids, Police and Firefighter Programs and other literature. Current Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler (President) Gloria LeCouvre said, “As a leader and driving force within Mission Viejo and surrounding Saddleback Valley communities, we were pleased to participate in this Showcase alongside the other leading businesses and restaurants of Mission Viejo.”

The Mission Viejo / Saddleback Elks Lodge No. 2444, celebrating forty one (41) years of service to the Saddleback Valley communities, is one of ten lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 143 year history of giving, “Elks Care, Elks Share.”
