The public is invited to a free Family Safety Day event hosted by Cox Communications on Saturday, August 17th. HLN of Turner Networks will be offering free digital fingerprinting for children using advanced biometric scanners. Parents will receive a printout of a photo, the fingerprint and a place for families to save vital information. Face painting, giveaways, safety demonstrations, free Subway Kids Meals will also be available. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about child safety and emergency readiness. Cox Solutions educators will demonstrate the robust tools available to keep families safe online through Cox’s Take Charge website, and the newest Cox technology, including Cox Home Security.
