Mission Viejo, CA – Led by Coaches Larry Radden and Heidi Ochoa, the Saddleback College Forensics Team collected a sixth place sweepstakes trophy at the California College Forensics Association (CCCFA) State Championships Tournament on Sunday, March 20th. “This year’s group is comprised of students committed to excellence.
They have invested multiple hours writing, rehearsing, and performing what many would call impressive artwork. Coaches Larry Radden, Lindsay Stepancich, Erin Mcalear and I think that they will be pleasantly surprised with themselves at the awards ceremony at Nationals this year”, said Heidi Ochoa.
“I am ecstatic about the synergy and the success of our students at the State Championships! This State team is more unique than any in our past because it is almost an equal mix of veterans and first semester students. The team managed to represent Saddleback in the final rounds of every individual event that the tournament offered. We are excited and working with rigger for Nationals in the coming two weeks,” stated Larry Radden.
“Congratulations to our forensics team for their impressive work at the state championships. I am very proud of our students, who year after year prove that Saddleback College’s forensics team is a force to be reckoned with. I also extend heartfelt congratulations to the coaches for their time and commitment to our students and their success,” said President Tod Burnett.
