The Shops at Mission Viejo’s food court is about to get a facelift.
Construction starts this month on the cosmetic remodel of the new “Dining Pavilion” that will include a new color palette, flooring, lighting, furniture and two new food kiosks.
Rather than seating in the middle with eateries on the outskirts, the Dining Pavilion will showcase a main walkway through the middle, with trellises and banquettes removed to open up the space.
The area will feature high bar-top counters and communal tables that can accommodate large families or groups.
The current food court was built in 1999 when Simon acquired The Shops at Mission Viejo.
Most of the construction will take place at night, and the upgrades will be complete in November.
