Today I was contacted by the producer of the hit TV show, “The World’s Strictest Parents”. I am attaching the information she sent. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME…..I have nothing to do with this production. If you are interested – email the producer. Please read her material thoroughly and do not try to negotiate your way in if this is not a fit. I have seen the show personally and love the fact that a strong family takes in two teens with issues. Hopefully this fits someone in the school – and you get picked for the show. I just wanted to email you some information regarding the show –and would greatly appreciate ANYTHING you could do to help us get the word out to parents who might be interested in this opportunity. First of all, I’m a Casting Producer for Shed Media and we’re currently casting Season 2 of CMT’s “World’s Strictest Parents” –a show that promotes family values by taking teens with relatable adolescent problems (smoking, drinking, defying authority, laziness, etc), and placing them with loving, welcoming, and structured families in another part of America for one week. The goal is to get to a ‘breakthrough point’ with the teens, help them turn around their attitudes, and maybe give them a new perspective on the relationship they have with their own parents. I can absolutely assure you that the purpose of this program is not to exploit or highlight only fights like countless other television shows frequently do, but rather to provide help and instruction to those parents across the country who are having similar problems communicating with their own teens.
We are hoping to meet with and interview potential HOST FAMILIES later this week. The host family must have at least one child between the ages of 14 and 20 to be eligible.
