The water temperature has warmed up to 70 degrees making for some nice fishing conditions. We are currently catching sand bass, calico bass and bonito. The weather is beautiful and the seas are calm!

WHALE WATCHING
Delight in the amazing views of the largest mammal on Earth! Blue Whale season runs May – October here in Dana Point. Whaling in the 1900’s caused a severe decline in the blue whale population along the Pacific coast of the United States. Once hunting was banned, the blue whale population has slowly started to recover. Before whaling was commercialized, blue whale numbers along the Pacific were estimated to be around 200,000. Today, the blue whale population around the world is estimated to be around 12,000. Approximately 2,000 blue whales call the Pacific coast their home. The blue whale is listed as endangered by the IUCN Red List. We’ve seen Blue Whales on virtually every trip!

Boat Rides with Santa

Santa will be cruising through the harbor every 20 minutes aboard the Sum Fun! Hop aboard and tell Santa your wishes and if you’ve been good, he’ll grant them! This trip is free! Trips run every 20 minutes. No reservations needed!
