Tidepool Terrors, Haunted Brig
DANA POINT, CA– The Ocean Institute will celebrate Halloween with two spooky events:
Tidepool Terrors, on Saturday, October 31, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Come and explore the dark secrets of the deep sea! Snack on cookies with cider and trick-or-treat through haunted aquariums. Don’t miss this fun event and greet fascinating creatures of all sorts! Cost is $6 adults, $4 children (ages 4-12). Children in costume are free.
The Haunted Brig, Saturday, October 31, 6 – 9 p.m.
Come aboard the Haunted Brig Pilgrim and join her ghostly crew for a Hallow’s Eve celebration. Listen to eerie tales of maritime lore and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or cider. Cost $10, or $8 for those in costume.
Founded in 1977, the Ocean Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean preservation through education, setting the standard for educational excellence and serving as a leading resource for universities, museums, teachers and all others seeking to increase their knowledge of the ocean. The Ocean Institute is open to the general public on weekends, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cost: $6.50 adults, $4.50 children (ages 4-12), Ocean Institute members free. 2008 Business of the Year – The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce has selected the Ocean Institute as Dana Point’s “Business of the Year.” The award recognizes the positive contribution the Ocean Institute has made to the Dana Point community.
