Date:

San Juan Elementary Celebrates 160 Years
San Juan Elementary School wants former students to help celebrate its 160th year. Anyone who has studied at the campus that sits across the street from Mission San Juan Capistrano is welcome to attend a series of events beginning in November designed to honor the school’s historic past. The celebration will begin in November with a series of alums who will speak to current students about their time at the school. In March, the school bell will be rededicated. In April, the school will hold its annual festival.

District Joins Mission Viejo’s Walk Against Drugs
Capistrano Unified School District will team up with the city of Mission Viejo, Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Saddleback Valley Unified School District in the 22nd Annual Walk Against Drugs on Saturday, Oct. 23. The day begins at 8 a.m. with a rally at Mission Viejo High School. After the rally, the crowd will march to the fair at the Village Green. Shuttle buses will run from Newhart Middle School to the rally beginning at 7 a.m. For more information, contact Mission Viejo Police Services at (949) 470-8433.
