DANA HILLS DOLPHIN FORCE NEWS FOR 8TH GRADE PARENTS
Come get an inside look at Dana Hills High School campus at our 3rd annual Principal’s tour. This small group tour with Dr. Nye allows parents to get a close-up view of the physical campus, provides an opportunity to see the administrator’s point of view and concerns, and assists Dolphin Force in identifying projects to support in the upcoming school year.
The tour will be conducted on April 1st from 9-10 a.m. Please meet in the main office at Dana Hills at 9 a.m. if you are interested.
DHHS PARENT ED NIGHT – “EMPOWER YOURSELF AND BECOME CYBER SAVVY”
The Dana Hills Family of PTA’s together with the City of Dana Point Police Services will be holding a Parent Education Night titled “Empower Yourself & Become Cyber Savvy!” on Monday, March 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Dana Hills High School Porthole Theater.
Lt. Mark Levy, Dana Point Chief of Police will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening with presentations given by San Clemente Police Chief – Lt. Paul D’Auria and Glen Warren from the Orange County Department of Education.
Topics will include:
• The How’s of Video Games
• Innocent vs. Specific Searches
• Anonymous Access
• Parental Control
• Cyber Citizenship
• Building a Digital Reputation
• Protecting Identity
• Cyber Bullying
When it comes to our digital world many of 5th graders are smarter than parents. This program will offer “real facts for our real world.” This information is critical in order for parents to help protect their children. We invite all families and residents of Dana Point, Laguna Niguel and San Juan Capistrano to join us.
