On Saturday, April 24, 2010, The TLC Branch of the Boys & Girls Club had much to celebrate. The staff, families and friends delighted in TLC’s Annual Pancake Breakfast commemorating 5 great years with the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach and a grand re-open house showcasing the branch’s brand new floors and computer center. The quaint Clubhouse, which offers after school programming and summer recreation to 65 Laguna kids daily, has had a very fortuitous year with help from their friends at the Laguna Beach Rotary Club, who generously donated funds to help with TLC’s mini renovation. Held in beautiful Bluebird Park, TLC hosted about 200 people to a scrumptious pancake breakfast provided with lots of fun, games, crafts, and O.C.’s Inside the Outdoors reptile exhibit.
Not only a celebration, the TLC Pancake Breakfast provided friends an opportunity to give gifts to “the little club”. TLC received much needed programming supplies and generous contributions to the program costs of the branch. Overwhelmed this year with the support of the TLC families, Board Members and friends, the turn out far exceeded the Branch’s expectations. The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach-TLC Branch would like to sincerely thank the event sponsors; Tom and Cindy Kennedy, Nick and Lynne Pivaroff, Mike and Carrie Reynolds, Heather Gardea, North Coast Starbucks and Inside the Outdoors.
