The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is gearing up for its 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1.
The fun-filled event, which marks the center’s two decades of pro-humane animal care, is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 28095 Hillcrest.
The celebration includes a special appearance by Jackson Galaxy, host and executive producer of Animal Planet’s hit show “My Cat from Hell,” educational booths, children’s activities, wildlife education, safety demonstrations and more.
A cat behaviorist with more than 15 years of experience, Galaxy specializes in helping individuals whose “out-of-control” cats are turning their lives and homes upside down.
The charismatic TV host will be part of a celebration that includes a dedication ceremony of new donor walls that pay homage to the people who have supported the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.
Families will enjoy free and fun activities including crafts for kids, live entertainment, a dog fashion show featuring 15 dogs and pet-related demonstrations. There will be educational booths and food for purchase from Beach Bus Bistro, Flip Truck and Dos Chinos food trucks. Guests will also receive tours of the facility – including the newly expanded cattery.
