2-Hour Whale Watching Adventure Cruise

Delight in the exciting sights and sounds of the magnificent ocean creatures off Dana Point. Known as a landmark for marine life sightings, Dana Wharf’s ocean adventure cruises offer rare glimpses into a huge variety of underwater wildlife and gorgeous scenic views you’ll never forget.
Join us as we search for whales, dolphin, sea lion and other exciting marine life! All of our cruises are narrated by our expert captains who will educate you on the abundant ocean life on our coast. Trips are all 2 hours long, plenty of time to discover the world that lies beneath! Remember that sightings of marine life are guaranteed!

2015 Summer brings Blue Whales, Fin Whales, Minkes and Humpback Whales plus other rare marine life traveling through Dana Point to be spotted by Dana Wharf Whale Watchers during daily tours off the warm coastal waters of Dana Point.
Known as a landmark for whale sightings, Dana Wharf Whale Watching provides an experience to view the whales who have been known to spy hop, breach and fluke as they feed off the ocean’s delights. Dana Wharf pioneered Whale Watching over 44 years ago and was the first to introduce this wonderful adventure to the public in 1971. Whale Watching has become a family tradition to thousands of residents and visitors of Dana Point.
2-hour adventures offer the chance to see these beautiful creatures from our many vessels. Excursions depart daily aboard the Ocean Adventures Catamaran and a Sunset trip departs nightly at 5pm for a special rate on one of Dana Wharf large comfortable vessels.
Whale watching adventures include expert narration given by our certified marine naturalist captains as well as learn interesting facts from our outgoing and energetic crew members – full cash bar and galley snacks are available on all vessels.

Special Friday 5 Hour Whale Watching Trip
Friday, June 12, 26 and July 10 – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join Dana Wharf Whale Watching Five Hour Friday! This trip is a 5-hour, half day adventure on our fast, luxury vessel the Ocean Adventures Catamaran to search for whales of all kinds led by our all star crew Captain Frank Brennan, lead naturalist Jason Kunewa, and photojournalist Carla Mitroff. SPECIAL GUESTS may include Captain Todd Mansur, Bernardo Alps, Alisa Schulman Janiger, and many more. You never know who may surprise you. LIMITED TO 40 PASSENGERS

Check in time is 7:30 am. Parking is FREE. Please arrive early to get your parking permit from the office and park in the long term parking area.

Orange County Wine Cruise
$49 per person. 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. This cruise runs Fridays and Sunday nights.
Join us for a 90-minute evening cruise aboard our luxury catamaran. In the spring and summer enjoy a evening of sunshine, cool ocean breezes and romantic views. In winter, take in stunning views of the beautifully lighted Dana Point Harbor. This cruise will feature a sampling of wines from The Organic Cellar which promotes organically grown and pesticide-free wines as well as a sample platter of cheese, crackers, fruits and nuts that compliment the wines. Our 63′ Ocean Adventure catamaran also features a full cash bar if you’d like to purchase some additional beverages. Sportfishing
Have you ever wanted to go ocean fishing but thought it was only for the professional? Well, we have good news for you! Dana Wharf Sportfishing offers fishing trips all year long and anyone can go – young, old, experienced or those out for their first trip. Our landing caters to the novice as well as the seasoned angler. Our knowledgeable crew and expert skippers who are always eager to help educate and instruct, if needed. The types of fish available to catch vary depending on the season and water temperature. They include Halibut, Barracuda, Yellowtail, White Sea Bass, Sand Bass, Calico Bass, Bonito, and even Tuna. You never know what you might reel in, and that is part of the magic of fishing.
Our vessels are clean and our friendly, professional and experienced crew are there to help you! Our vessels offer a full galley with hot and cold food. Beer, soda, chips and candy are available for purchase (sorry, no coolers can be brought aboard the boat). If you do not have fishing gear, we have rods and reels to rent from $14 – $18, and a day license for anyone over 16 years of age is required. Come join us for an adventure you will never forget. It might just become an obsession.
