Singer-Songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway Celebrates
The Streisand Songbook at Segerstrom Center for the Arts
Platinum Award-winning singer-songwriter and Tony Award® nominated actress Ann Hampton Callaway performs in Segerstrom Center’s Samueli Theater May 7 – 9. In her show, The Streisand Songbook, Callaway performs songs made classics by her musical heroine, the incomparable Barbra Streisand, giving them her own personal style.
Selections will come from Streisand’s unforgettable catalogue of hits made during her multi-faceted, five-decade career that includes Broadway, film and concept albums. Callaway weaves humorous and inspiring anecdotes of how Streisand began as a role model for her and evolved into a mentor and even recording Callaway’s songs on six of her recent CDs, including “I’ve Dreamed of You,” the song that Streisand sang on her wedding day.

Full casting has been announced for NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT at Segerstrom Center for the Arts March 17 – 22, 2015. The show features the incomparable music and lyrics of George and Ira Gershwin. The new U.S. national tour of ANNIE will play Segerstrom Center for the Arts May 13 – 24, 2015. Audiences will see this new physical incarnation of the iconic Tony Award®-winning show, which is being directed for the 19th time by the show’s original lyricist and director Martin Charnin.
ANNIE has a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and Charnin’s award-winning lyrics. All three authors received 1977 Tony Awards for their work. Choreography is by Liza Gennaro, who has incorporated selections from her father Peter Gennaro’s 1977 Tony Award-winning choreography.
