July 1: Meet a Nobel Peace Prize Nominee!
Sponsored by a nonprofit organization, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee and acclaimed author Greg Mortenson will be aboard Midway on July 1 at 7 p.m. He is renowned for his quest to build schools in remote Pakistan and Afghanistan. September 4-5: Race to the Moon
We’ll celebrate America’s “Race to the Moon,” on the 40th anniversary of first lunar landing! Many Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo astronauts will be on hand for a reception on September 4 at the San Diego Air & Space Museum and then a fabulous gala on the flight deck of the USS Midway Museum on September 5—under a full moon, of course!
