For it’s part, Vista del Mar students collected more than 1,000 shoes.

The mission of Students Run LA is “to challenge at-risk secondary students to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved health by providing them with a truly life-changing experience: The training for and completion of the ASICS LA Marathon.” This year’s marathon is on Sunday, March 15, 2015 and 22 students from Vista del Mar will be participating in the race.
