Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center
The Freedom Committee of Orange County will host The Wall That Heals at Balearic Park, 1975 Balearic Dr./Mesa Verde West, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, from April 11 -14, 2019, 24 hours per day.
On Veterans Day 1996, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) unveiled a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., designed to travel to communities throughout the United States. Since its dedication, The Wall That Heals has been displayed at nearly 600 communities throughout the nation, spreading the Memorial’s healing legacy to millions. Read more here.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Volunteer support for the event is a valued part of The Wall That Heals experience and a rewarding way for members of the community to be engaged, show their support and honor those who died in the service for their country. Training for all volunteers will be on Tuesday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Balearic Park. Parking is available at the Balearic Community Center, Estancia Park/Adobe and on the street. The Wall will be open 24 hours per day and volunteer guides will be posted after training.
