The Ocean Institute in Dana Point is welcoming 2,000 5th grade students from 28 Southland schools beginning today through January 26, for its annual Kids Conferences on Watersheds program.
The students are participants in the Institute’s Watershed program, which teaches students the harmful effects that pollutants, improperly disposed of, can have on our beaches and ocean.
The students conducted their studies with their teachers in the classroom and in the field, and shared their findings at the Kids Conferences. For additional information on programs the Ocean Institute offers children, please visit www.ocean-institute.org or call (949) 496-2274.
