White, Nelson & Co. LLP in Irvine held a companywide clothing drive to assist the Santa Ana-based Women Helping Women (WHW), which helps prepare women for the work place after escaping a violent relationship (visit www.whw.org), and Men2Work, its Costa Mesa chapter which assists men. White Nelson’s 85 employees contributed over 500 items of clothing to WHW/Men2Work.
White Nelson’s Managing Partner, Dave Doran, remarked, “We’re pleased to make a contribution to the work of WHW and Men2Work, which plays an important role in our community helping women and men in difficult circumstances transition to happier, more productive lifestyles.”
Doran noted that WHW/Men2Work is White Nelson’s newest non-profit industry client.
Founded in 1993, WHW’s services include providing its clients with clothing and image consulting services, job placement assistance, educational workshops and computer training. In 2008, WHW launched Men2Work, which serves low-income men with families who need job-acquisition skills and appropriate business attire.
