Her name is Sarah Rochelle Gluzman, 13 year old teen from Aliso Viejo, CA. She is student of Orange County High School of Arts, passionate animal rights activist, an amazing person and friend.
On December 26th 2011 at 4:30pm she is scheduled to bring a large donation to Pet Rescue Center of Mission Viejo. After holding a towel/blanket toy drive all over OC she received donation from so many supporters and members. She also spent her hard earning money and purchased large quantity of new items like bowls, blankets, rugs, towels, toys, leaches and more.
Orange County Kids for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OCKidSPCA) is an organization for animal rights. “When I created this organization, my goals were to educate and spread awareness of animal abuse, puppy mills, spaying and neutering, fundraise to provide help for shelters in need, help kill shelters become non – kill and to bring kids from all over Orange County to support me in my cause. As of today I have lots of involved kids (and number is growing), and lots of supporters.” “My goal is to help eliminate Animal Cruelty and Abuse.”
For this holiday season, she decided to have a towel/blanket/toy drive to donate to animal shelters. When she was asked why she explained that shelters are in great need of towels and blankets for their large quantity of animals. They are constantly used for animals after a bath, to keep warm in a cage, to have comfort, etc. In many cases, you can’t use the same towel more than once per animal because they might be sick of have flees. Because of this towels run out very fast and it is often really hard to keep on constantly washing and buying new ones. Toys are also very important to have at shelters for training animals that are not people friendly, cage comfort, and playtime. Shelters usually do not have enough funds to provide things like this.
