The ANAHEIM PERFORMING ARTS CENTER FOUNDATIONkicks off a year of exciting fundraising events with the FOX POINTE MANOR ART AND GARDEN TOUR, on Saturday, May 9 from 10:00 am to 6:00pm. In 2014, the tour sold-out attracting over 600 visitors from all over Southern California.

Fox Pointe Manor (the private estate home of Dr. Howard and Linda Knohl), along with its magnificent and sweeping grounds, houses one of the most significant private art collections in the world, containing more than 80,000 objects including the world’s largest privately owned collection of English language first-edition books printed before the year 1700 with over 4,000 titles.

The paintings that hang on the walls number over 260 and represent a wide variety of art schools and time periods, with a strong focus on European masters from the 17th through the 19th century. Works from William-Adolph Bouguereau, Hippolyte (Paul) DeLaroche, Jehan Georges Verbet are on display along with a magnificent collection of Victorian clocks, ivory walking sticks and one of the largest collections of match safes in the world.

Take the grand tour of one of the most exclusive homes in the Peralta Hills area of Anaheim! Guests will enjoy learning about the history of the collection, entertainment, and fun activities! Highlights of the day include:

-A Manor Art and Garden Walking Tour.

-A walking tour of the home with a docent in each room educating guests on the many collections and oil paintings.

– Art lecturers by Carol Seelig-Eastman, Curator of the Knohl Collection, as well as conversations with collection founder, Dr. Howard Knohl; who along with his wife Linda have spent the last forty years building the world-renowned Knohl Collection.

-The opportunity to own a piece of the Knohl Collection! Don’t miss a chance to win select pieces from the collection.

-Performance by actress and entertainer, JULIE GARNYE, whowill perform on the grounds throughout the afternoon. Ms. Garnye’s stage and television credits include the national tour of CATS and the 85th Annual Academy Awards telecast.  She also can be heard in the Disney animated film “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” as the singing voice of the fairy Lyria and in the “Star Turn” episode in the final season of TNT’s “The Closer”. Live performances include “Les Misérables” at The Hollywood Bowl, “CHESS” in Concert at the Ford Amphitheatre and with celebrated Tony Award winners Alan Cumming and Alice Ripley in “Open All Night: The Music of Lance Horne.”

Comfortable walking shoes for this event are highly recommended.

Tickets for the Fox Pointe Manor and Garden Tour are $50.

VIP tickets are $95. Group rates are available for groups of 12 or more at $35.

VIP Group rate is $75.

(VIP tickets include complimentary valet parking, sit down lunch and two door prize tickets.)

Manor tours scheduled every fifteen minutes, but guests are free to walk the grounds at their leisure.
