The Festival of Arts will sizzle Saturday, July 22 when the Eric Marienthal All Stars featuring Mitch Forman, Franklin “Third” Richardson, Nathaniel Kearney, Jr., and Adam Hawley take the stage. The Festival’s popular Concerts on the Green, sponsored by Cambria Estates Vineyard and Winery, showcases today’s most talented and recognizable jazz performers and the Eric Marienthal All-Stars are no exception.
Grammy-nominated Eric Marienthal is one of the most recorded sax players in contemporary jazz. As part of Chick Corea’s Elekric Band, Eric has traveled every corner of the globe playing jazz, and his solo albums are favorites of many of the most knowledgeable contemporary musicians.
Among Eric’s fourteen solo CD’s, his latest is entitled “Bridges,” on Peak Records. Eight of the songs that Eric has recorded have made it to the top ten of the National Contemporary Jazz Radio Charts and three have made it to #1. Eric was voted as being one of the year’s “Favorite Alto Sax Players” in Jazziz Magazine’s Reader’s Poll along with David Sanborn and Phil Woods.
“We are truly honored to have the opportunity to showcase Eric, Mitch, Third, Nathaniel, and Adam at the Festival of Arts,” said Susan Davis, Director of Special Events for the Festival of Arts. “Having these five extraordinary musicians together is a real treat. Don’t miss it!”
Eric Marienthal All Stars will perform on Saturday, July 22 from 1 – 2:30pm on stage at the Festival green. Concerts on the Green are free with Festival of Arts Admission.
